This was a fun book and had more depth than I was expecting from a children's book.

There were parts of this that I liked and other parts I didn't. It was just a bit too magical-ly and out-of-the-blue

After the first book in the series, this was a bit of a let down.

This was much darker than I had remembered. It made an interesting read and the setting is particularly well crafted.

Another fun adventure. I did think that these adventures in particular were slightly more enjoyable than the some in previous books.

Unexpectedly funny and lighthearted. This felt like an investigation of all things cadaver. I only wish there was a bit more of a impactful ending. I mean, the ending was fine, I guess. But something more definitive might have been nice.

I didn't know what I was getting into to and, ultimately, it wasn't what I had expected and I felt let down. As a comprehensive guide of the universe, it might have been half decent. But at times, this book was just doing a bunch of different things and wasn't doing them particularly well.

The concept of this novel ended up being much more engaging than the novel itself. Perhaps the translation wasn't as good as it could have been? Or the writing style wasn't effective for these kinds of short stories? Either way, I felt let down by this book.

This was fun. I still feel like none of these quite hold up to the first one, but it was another nice adventure.
