While I haven't read much by the author - yet - this wasn't my favorite read, and that's okay, but I did enjoy it. I just wish there had been more, really. I felt like just as the book was getting really interesting, and the worldbuilding too, we were already at the end of the story and there were still things I needed to know such as what happened to the hosts? did they get better after the one that damaged them was taken care of or with time? & other things. The characters were great, the story itself was fascinating, and the noir vibes phenomenal. I just really needed more especially as the ending came up and then felt rushed a little bit. Also, let me not forget the narrator in this review cause January LaVoy did an exceptional job with each character. Overall, as I said, I didn't love the book as much as I absolutely wanted to, but it is still definitely deserving of the rating I gave it and I have already recommended it to people. Onto my next C.L. Polk read!
