They Mostly Come Out at Night by Benedict Patrick
4.25
This was a relatively quick read. Each of the numbered chapters was more like 2 chapters with the change of POV
I really enjoyed Adahy’s POV, the imagery in those sections was so fun to have in my brain. The folktales that were in between the chapters helped to lay the ground work for some of the events happening
I’ll admit the first half of the book was a bit of a slog and at about the 60% mark I was thinking it was over - then I realized I was only halfway through and then things fast. I definitely gasped at a few parts as I wasn’t expecting that twist to happen
I look forward to reading the rest of this series of books
