at times it was hard to read this book because i found it boring. however there are some lines that were beautifully written which made the read worth it.
i found the main character to be funny and her passing comments on british colonialism and its effects were interesting, although i wish this theme was explored more in depth.
the author used a lot of fancy words which i sometimes found unnecessary.
it did remind me of sally rooney, in its themes and characters but rooney's writing style feels less distant/cold (surprisingly!)
if it weren't for those witty one-liners, i would have DNFed this book but I did enjoy my reading experience overall.
