i did not click with this book at all... while i usually love books where nothing really happens, i felt like this book was so much of a slog. i think its due to not really connecting with one of the main perspectives, akash... at no point in the story did i actually want to root for him, and it felt like characters in the story were constantly doing his emotional growth for him. his chapters also had a very close link with RnB which I am not really familiar with.
renu, on the other hand, had a lot of interesting perspectives on the world around her. while i feel like her stakes were much more due to being in her own head than akash's, i cared a lot more about her storyline.
the pacing and character resolutions in this story were also very odd. i think the author tried to do way too much at once and i lost interest pretty easily... the style of writing was also not that appealing, which i feel like needs to be the star in this kind of book. it was also painfully predictable. that being said i did really enjoyed the 2nd person pov.
