I was so excited for this book after having fallen head over heels for Liv and Leo in Ruled by Magic.

Talia is tough and very, very smart. I liked her cleverness and no bs attitude.

Adante is an antihero, with a cruel streak that was difficult to deal with sometimes, but I understood why once I learned more about his childhood.

If you like sadistic, handsome princes and beautiful, badass courtesans, you will LOVE this book.
