Over the years, America has had its issues with reading. From challenging politics and society, to telling a story that is just too true & detailed for comfort. The government has continued to challenge and ban books from being read in school and even being present in school/public libraries. These books are essential parts of understanding the world and should be read by all. This challenge is a way to keep up to date on all things in the banned book world & teach yourself the things that have been tried and tried again to be kept away from us. Some of these have been on/off the banned list for many years, and some are newly added, all have a description of why they have been challenged or banned. I've made it a goal of mine to read more of these, so I'm sharing my list with you! Enjoy :)
