Magical readathon challenge by @BookRoast on youtube
I found out about their more recent readathon and liked it so much that i wanted to go back and complete them all. This is the second part, it is inspired by Harry Potter and quite simple.
The creator is on youtube, goodreads and twitter, I'm simply summarizing everything here because I prefer it. If you're interested in this and other readathons definitely give them a follow, but you're very welcome to join here.

I'm not a Harry Potter hardcore fan but i do think this community is now much bigger than the author and I enjoy partecipating in themed readathons, that's why i wanted to create these.

NB: the challenges from this year and the last two years are the same, the only thing changing are the prompts. You can choose to do all of them, only one or you can also choose to do the OWLs back to back and then the NEWTs (you have to pass all three years of the same class to take it in the NEWTs / graduate).

In the first half, we studied for the OWLs, the initial part of the academic path at Hogwarts, and we graduated with flying colors. Now it is time to think about the NEWTs, they will be more challenging than ever and will help you reach your goal career.
If you followed the career guide, you should consult it again to continue on the chosen path.
If you didn't or if you failed some of the classes, you can still graduate for the NEWTs but this challenge will involve only the classes you graduated in, you should not choose the subjects you didn't pick and you should not choose the ones you didn't pass.
Also it is not necessary to study for all your NEWTs: if you ever want to drop out of any subject for whatever reason, you can at any given moment. However, you have to complete at least two classes and one of them has to be an Outstanding.
Each class will have three prompts and each corresponds to a grade; it's a level-up system, so you have to read all three books to receive an Outstanding and they have to be in order. You will fail a class only if you fail the first prompt.
(Grades: A-Acceptable, E-Exceeded Expectations, O-Outstanding)
If you want to challenge yourself even more, just like for the OWLs, there is another booklet with courses and seminars that will add extra classes (therefore books) to your exams. It does not matter if you pass or don't pass them, they are just extra credit.
Again, this challenge is thought to be a month long, you can try and push yourself or you can take it slow and make the fun last a little bit longer.
You can choose as many books per subject/prompt as you want, but you can't use the same book twice.
Note: it is recommended to sit in three exams and really focus on them, rather than study for Acceptable in more subjects, since many higher jobs require at least an E-level education.
